Drum Clamps
Drum Clamp - Forklifts are designed to handle lifting, storing and moving pallets. For facilities which handle items in drums, you should use an attachment in order to store, move and lift them. There are numerous drum forklift accessories that you can acquire for all of your drum lifting requirements. These attachments are specially designed to be able to handle drum containers - hence there is no risk of damage to the product or drum container whenever they are moved, lifted or stored.
Drum Positioner And Grab
The drum positioner is presented in three and four tine designs. They are operational for the loading and unloading of drums off drum stands, racks and vehicles. This particular attachment is fully automatic, thus allowing the operator to operate all from the comfort of the lift truck seat. Able to move steel, large and extra large plastic drums, its capacity is 210 liters. This particular attachment is intended for drum pyramid stacking.
The drum grab could be mounted to the forks, with a designed purpose of handling metal drums which have rolling hoops. Even if the initial purpose for the design was to handle steel drums with rolling hoops, the drum grab can help accommodate plastic drums as well. The Rotator
The drum rotator is one more forklift accessory that mounts onto the forks themselves. Their objective is to lift the drum and turn it upside down. The drum is clamped into the drum rotator using a clamp which fits around the middle of the drum. The rotation is done by either a continuous loop chain or a crank handle. The crank handle is designed for operations that happen below shoulder level. For operations that must occur higher than shoulder level, the continuous loop chain will be used.
Drum tines are straightforward fork mounted attachment that could be intended for unstacking or stacking 210-liter metal drums. Stacking involves nothing intricate, just simple horizontal placement of the drums. The carriage-mounted attachments lessen the load center of the drums.
Automatic Tongs
Drum tongs come in semi-automatic and automatic versions. They are utilized in the open topped or tight head steel drum kinds. The drum tongs could be attached in a couple of ways to the forklift. One way is to connect them under a fork-mounted hook. Another way is to attach them to a fork-mounted jib or a carriage mounted jib. Both the semi automatic and the automatic have a drum capacity of 210 liters. With the automatic, there is no need for the operator to ever leave the seat of the forklift.
Rim Grip Handler
Whenever drums require storage with inadequate spacing obtainable, the Rim Grip Drum Handler is the perfect alternative in drum forklift accessories. This particular accessory will work for either the 210 L drums along with 120 L drums. The Rim Grip Handler functions by using steel jaws to hold the edge of the drum. It lifts the drum and puts it down without needing any space between all of the drums. The standard unit used in the industry is a zinc-plated handler, although, this particular attachment is obtainable in stainless steel for the food and drink market.
